Phantasy Star Online 2 Global Announces Episode 5

SEGA today announced their popular free-to-play online action RPG, Phantasy Star Online 2 (Global), will receive a free content update, Episode 5, on September 30. In addition, The Sakura Wars AC Scratch Ticket Collaboration, “Sakura Memories”, begins today.

“Hot off the heels of our Episode 4 content update in August comes the next chapter in the rich saga of Phantasy Star Online 2,” announced Fred White from PSO Team Global. “A continued storyline with new areas to explore, spectacular new enemies, a fun new type of quest called Buster Quests, and an increased level cap give our players lots to do in this expansion. And to help new players just joining the PSO2 worlds, starting today we’re running the ‘Road to Episode 5’ in-game event to help them get up to speed quickly.”

In Episode 5, following the aid of those on Earth, players discover a mysterious portal that leads to another dimension, called “Omega.” This world seems driven purely by fantasy, a world of swords and magic instead of technology and science. The two worlds are in direct contrast with each other, and as the story progresses, players will frequently move between them while observing the strange similarities these worlds share. Simultaneously, a mysterious woman who calls herself “Alma” appears, and she seems to have information about Omega and–strangely–about ARKS.

Episode 5 brings a lot of new content and features including increasing the player level cap to 90, new ARKS missions and areas to explore, new enemy types, new quest types with new rewards, new seasonal events, new Alliance Quarters, and more. Photon Art and Technique levels will increase, and additional Photon Art, Techniques, and Battle Arena weapons will be added.

To celebrate the new content update, Phantasy Star Online 2 is hosting a “Road to Episode 5” event in-game starting today. Players can visit the game for login bonuses 9/16-9/29 for a chance at receiving up to 3,500,000 EXP, up to 300 SG, and an Augment Transfer Pass.

A contest was also announced – the “Road to Episode 5 Twitter & Facebook Giveaway“. Participants can help win some great prizes for the entire community.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Members will receive a Lillipan Suit AND an Arkuma Suit for free as part of the Episode 5 Update Bonus.

Also starting today, ARKS can join the Flower Division in the newest AC Scratch Ticket collaboration, Sakura Memories, based on the Sakura Wars series! The AC Scratch Ticket Collaboration will let players roam a newly-landscaped ship lobby with gorgeous blooming cherry blossoms. Available in-game items for this exclusive event include new outfits and uniforms of key Sakura Wars characters, emotes and weapon camos.

Sakura Wars is a Japanese steampunk franchise developed and published by SEGA. The first game was released in 1996 and has had five sequels and numerous spin-offs with over 4.5 million copies sold.

Phantasy Star Online 2 players are invited to join together online to explore numerous worlds with friends and experience PSO2’s unparalleled action combat and character customization. Choosing from four unique races and nine classes, players can join forces with up to eleven other operatives at a time to experience unforgettable battles and boss fights.

The global version of Phantasy Star Online 2 includes fully localized text and character voices in English. In addition to the immersive original PSO2 story, the global version also features the most-up-to-date balancing and quality-of-life improvements from the Japanese service. Players can take a break from questing by playing one of the many Casino mini-games, chilling in the Alliance Quarters, competing in the new ARKS League or attending all-new live stage events. And they can do all of this with friends on both PC and Xbox One thanks to cross-platform play.

Dragon Lord, the free browser MMORPG, has the one thing that you can’t imagine a fantasy world without—dragons. Plot:

Aside from leveling up your Lord and his troops, you can also customize him: eye-catching costumes, unique weapons and loyal pets await!

Dynamic gameplay:

Enjoy the colorful world populated with classic fantasy characters. Over the course of your journey you are going to meet knights, dragons, fairies, demons and monsters. Dragon Lord’s gameplay is based on character progression, dungeon exploration and completing missions. If you get tired of the latter, you can always check out our PvP Arena and test your skills against other players, earning yourself fame and reputation. As your character levels up, you will unlock new ways to explore the game: dungeons, quests, raids and new locations, inter-server battles with bosses and other players, and, of course, Struggles for Power. You can face off with your enemy faction and prove your supremacy!

But before that, you will need to decide on your Skill tree. You can choose Defense and increase your chances for survival, or Light and open the tree of healing and blessings, or Darkness and develop your weakening skills, or become a Warrior and defeat your enemies with your powerful attacks. But what makes a Lord really unique is mighty divinities in his possession, a special troop formation that factors in strengths of individual heroes, and combinations of abilities. Furthermore, a well-developed talent tree provides flexibility in using Lord’s skills.

And if that’s not enough, go searching for legendary dragons, but remember: they obey only the mightiest ones! In different corners of the world you will find dragons of six elements: Fire, Wind, Earth, Ice, Light and Darkness. You can also tame dragons, not just fight them. Each dragon has his own strengths and special abilities. By mounting a dragon you will increase your stats, and your chances for victory will skyrocket.
Dragons accompany Lords to battle and improve party’s stats. They inflict heavy damage, crushing even the strongest defense, and help to move swiftly between locations. Every dragon has his own special aura that can cast powerful buffs or debuffs on units.

Your own city:

Apart from fighting, leveling up and quests, players can enjoy the strategic component of the game: upgrade your own castle and receive numerous bonuses that makes the game easier. A base allows you to gather your own party that you then can send looking for treasures or use them in battles. You can also invade other players’ domains, enter Dragon Labyrinth to receive the power of ancient beasts, stroll the alleys of Mysterious Garden and take your pet for a walk.

Loyal companions:

No Lord of Dragon Lord can do without his loyal mount. You will have a wide selection of mounts, including phoenixes, griffins, mad scientists’ devices and even creatures from the depths of Hell! You can upgrade and level up your mounts and unlock new abilities for them. Mounts will increase your combat power, allowing you to clear raids and dungeons much faster. You can also work on the way they look like!

Become a legend:

An interesting feature of the game is the possibility to develop your character even after reaching the maximum 70th level. Don’t stop once you get the highest level: you can increase your legendary level and obtain truly god-like powers.

Event:

Your Lord will not be bored. Hard challenges and battles with global bosses are waiting for you. Some of these bosses are so strong, armies from all gaming servers gather together to defeat them. Inter-server battles take place on weekends, and the mightiest Lords can showcase their loyal mounts (or chariots) in races that are held from Friday to Sunday.
