Last week, we introduced you Rockhead Games, the team behind the award-winning and globally acclaimed Starlit Adventures franchise. This innovative and forward-thinking studio has helped drive the explosive growth of the Brazilian gaming industry. Last Friday, the team launched their latest Starlit Adventures title, Starlit Adventures: Golden Stars on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch! We’d like to invite you to speak with the team and provide you with an opportunity to review their game.

Rockhead Games is another shining example of the great things happening in Brazil’s thriving games industry and is a prominent member of Brazil Games — an export program created by the Brazilian Game Companies Association, ABRAGAMES, in partnership with Apex-Brasil, the Brazilian Trade, and Investment Promotion Agency.

Originally founded in 2010 by industry veterans Christian Lykawka and Fernando D’Andrea, Rockhead Games has since found success with its award-winning Starlit Adventures franchise. Starting out with an eye toward mobile platforms, Starlit Adventures first launched on iOS and Android and was embraced by over 10 million players worldwide. Both Apple and Google featured Starlit Adventures multiple times since its launch in 2015 and went on to win awards in both Brazil and China, including “Best Brazilian Game” at Brazil’s Independent Game (BIG) Festival 2016. In addition, the game received a “Best Of” selection from the Apple App Store in 2015 and Google Play Latin America in 2017. Starlit Adventures hasn’t stopped at video games; the franchise expanded into the transmedia universe, boasting an animated television series, comic books, and collectible figurines. Additionally, Starlit Adventures has produced two related spin-off games: Starlit Archery Club and Starlit on Wheels.

Following the massively successful iOS and Android launch and ongoing franchise success, Starlit Adventures launched on PlayStation 4 in 2018, creating a major splash that has attracted over 3 million players worldwide. Starlit Adventures is available now on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch with some differing features per platform. The Nintendo Switch version, titled Starlit Adventures: Golden Stars is a premium title at $19.99 USD and features all-new in-game content and cosmetic items. Starlit Adventures on Xbox One is a free-to-play title with optional unlockable content and cosmetics.

In Starlit Adventures, you’ll journey to the Starlit Universe to find charming characters and enchanting adventure aplenty. Step into the boots of Bo, a quirky and charismatic fellow who, with his arguably quirkier sidekick Kikki, aims to save the Starlits by strategically recovering all of the stars taken by Nuru. Discover magical worlds and incredible creatures, along with special gear and items that grant different power-ups and abilities that will help progression through each level. Play with friends in co-op mode for even more strategic fun!

The captivating Starlit universe is inspired by Japanese classics such as BombermanDig DugMr. Driller, and Boulder Dash. While Starlit Adventures undoubtedly invokes a sense of nostalgia, it’s unquestionably contemporary and creates an environment perfect for players of any age and gaming background. Starlit Adventures features simple, straight-forward controls optimized for young players, making it a perfect introductory title for children and young people unfamiliar with the wonderful world of Starlit!
